Write for us
We welcome clear, original pitches about the decisions and working habits behind live concerts. Send proposals through the Contact page, with enough detail for us to see the subject, the reader and the useful point the piece will make.
What fits
Strong pitches focus on one bounded subject in concert planning, coordination, production or programme-making. They explain what a reader will understand or be able to decide by the end, and why the subject matters beyond one event. Comparisons, explainers, grounded histories, common-mistake pieces and occasion-specific planning can all fit.
What to include
Give us a working title, a short outline, the intended reader and the central idea. Note any specialist terms that need explaining and how you would support factual claims. If the proposal draws on personal experience, say what the piece can responsibly establish without implying that one example applies everywhere.
Before you send
Please send a proposal rather than a completed article unless we have agreed otherwise. We cannot promise publication or a response time. We do not accept invented examples presented as real events, undisclosed promotional copy or material that depends on readers ignoring event-specific instructions.
